Lashley "Larry" Rue Roberts was born September 12, 1952 in Durham, NC to the late Mary Magalene Green and Chester Cecil Roberts. He departed this life peacefully on September 21, 2018 at Duke Hock Pavilion in Durham, NC.

Larry attended Durham Public Schools. He worked at Durham Exchange Club Industries for 47 years. He attended the Garden Church of Raleigh, NC.

Larry was a person who exhibited love and compassion for everyone. He was blessed to have Aunt Louise as a mother figure for years. Larry loved silver coins, which he would look for everywhere he went. Larry always cared about his sister Elaine. He would ask her was she alright everyday. Larry loved to watch western movies especially Gunsmoke or Bananza.

Larry was also proceeded in death by his brother, Chester Roberts; Grandmother, Ethel White; Grandfather, Johnnie Willie White; Grandfather, Charlie Roberts and Grandmother ,Georgina Roberts.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory; his sister, Elaine Mathenge (Safari) of Durham, NC; three brothers, Allen Roberts of Raeford, NC, Argentina Green and Anthony Green both of Durham, NC; two aunts, Carolyn Woods (Earl) and Valirie Wiley (Eugene) of Durham, NC; three Uncles, Jimmy White, Jerry White, and Jeffery White of Durham, NC, and a host of cousins and friends.
