Obituary for Willie Alston, Jr.

A Time to be Born

Mr. Willie Alston Jr, 80 years of age, was born on June 15, 1938, in
Durham, North Carolina to the late Willie Alston, Sr. and Nancy Mangum.

A Time to Transition

He went to be with his Lord on Saturday, June 8, 2019.

A Time to Serve the Lord

Willie and his wife Della started a family and they all worshipped together
at Bethel Tabernacle Holiness Church. Later they became members of
Charity Christian Fellowship, Inc. In their senior years, they became
faithful members of Bible Baptist Church, where they were welcomed
graciously by the congregation. After the passing of his wife, Willie joined his
daughter, Angela and her family in Orange, New Jersey, where he became a member of St. Matthew A.M.E. Church. No matter where he attended, in
public or private, everyone that met him was sure to know he loved God,
because he would ask, “Where are you spending eternity?” almost every
time he spoke with you.

A Time of Employment:

He worked at IBM (International Business Machines) serving in various
capacities with the manufacturing division for over 35 years.
