Obituary for Mr. Terry Alphonso Strudwick
On April 27, 2021, Terry Alphonso Strudwick, loving husband, father and brother, was called home a the age of 63. Terry was born in Durham, North Carolina on January 22, 1958 to London Lincoln Strudwick, Sr. and Mabel Christine (Alston) Strudwick. Terry attended Hillside High School and graduated in June of 1977. Terry entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1977 and served four years. He returned home with a honorable discharged.
Terry married Inetta Johnson in Durham, North Carolina on November 13, 1982. Together they raised a daughter Terrika Strudwick (Rika), and a son Terrick Strudwick (Buddy). On September 13, 2001, Terry married Keisha McLean and he gained step children; Alicia, Brittany, Jasmine, and Malik. Terry was a great mentor for his son, Buddy, whom he helped get into the truck driving industry, and his daughter Terrika was the apple in her father's eyes. Terry was known for being a giver. He loved seeing people happy, and it didn't matter what a person needed nor the cost, he was always willing to help. Boom Boom and Kali were another big favorites of Terry. He loved them unconditionally.
Terry had a overwhelming love for family and friends. He had a very close relationship with his sisters Yvette and Yvonne whom he grew up closely with and they will greatly miss him.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; London Strudwick, Jr., Ronald Strudwick, Aaron Strudwick, and sisters; Esther Humphrey, Louvenia White, and Bernice Fleming.
Terry is survived by his wife; Keisha McLean Strudwick; his 2 children, 4 step children, 9 grandchildren, four siblings; Sarah Taborn, Bernadette Winston (Robert), Yvonne Royster(Fredrick Sr.), and Sharon Yvette Strudwick, along with and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
