Obituary for Oleta S. Woyee

To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord… Oleta Vonnette Woyee, known by her devoted husband as “O” was born on July 27, 1945 in Duplin County to Juanita and Benjamin Pickett. She departed this life on April 24, 2020.
Those who knew Oleta, knew her as a strong willed, nurturing, selfless wife and mother. The love and dedication she carried for her family was endless. There were no limits, mountains, rivers or valleys that would stop her from fulfilling the needs for her husband, children, grandchildren and other family members.

Her love was eternal and will always be celebrated.

Proverbs 31:28-29:
Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished by her family: her devoted husband: Elijah Woyee; four children: son Kevin Pickett, daughters Kimberly and TanNeshia Sanders, and Jody Sanders (deceased) (Durham) ; Honorary sister Diane Twitty (Rose Hill); Aunts: Ester Ree-Brown (Walter), Juanita Pickett (Chinquapin); Brother-in-Laws are Justin Woyee, Chester Woyee (Annie), Rufus Woyee, Robert Woyee (Elizabeth), Joseph Woyee (Lesley) and Bill Woyee; sister-in-Laws include Elizabeth Woyee, Jackie Woyee, and Gertrude Banks (Phillip); Grandchildren are Kaylin Tucker-Sanders, Jalen Jones, Harper Sanders (Durham), and abundance of family and friends. May her soul and the soul of all faithful departed rest in peace.

Mrs. Woyee's funeral service will be live streamed on the Ellis D. Jones & Sons Funeral Directors Facebook Page starting at 12:00 PM.
