Obituary for Mr. Paul Raymond "Brother Paul" Joyner Sr.

Paul Joyner, Sr. was born on August 3, 1935, to the late Louise Battle Joyner
and Jasper Joyner. He peacefully departed this life to his heavenly home on
February 2, 2022, at Select Specialty Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
“Brother Paul,” as he was affectionally known, met and married Catherine Joyner
in 1962. They were blessed with two children from their union. He owned and
operated Brother Paul Plumbing. He was a minister of the Primitive Baptist Church
and a mentor to many.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Catherine Joyner of the home,
his son, Paul Joyner, Jr. (Renee); his daughter, Alice Joyner Browner; two
granddaughters, Kaila and Kendal Browner; two sisters, Evelyn Reeves, and
Alice Smith; two brothers, Sylvester Joyner, and William Battle; a sister-in-law,
Anna Maria Joyner and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Due to the pandemic, no services will be held. There will be a walk-through on
Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 2:30pm to 5:00pm at Ellis D. Jones & Sons
Funeral Home in Durham NC.
