Obituary for Magnolia Bethea (Bostic)

Magnolia Bostic Bethea was born to Annie Mae Lampley and Ben Bostic on November 7, 1928, in Rowland, North Carolina. She married Richard C. Bethea on October 18, 1942.

Magnolia Bethea was a strong woman that lived life to the fullest. She was a God-fearing woman and strived to live a life pleasing to God. Family was very important to her. She loved people and would help anyone if she could. Mother found joy in cooking, singing, and going to church. She was affiliated with Macedonia Holiness Church. Church was a big part of her life, she raised her children to know God. She prayed with them and for them. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She would give Godly advice when talking with her, as her favorite saying was if you are doing something for God do your best.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband and a son, Wendell Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Queen Esther Bethea; two sons Michael Bethea and Robert Bethea; one sister Linda Bullock (William); nieces, Michelle Miles of Hillsborough, NC, Theresa Thorpe of Durham, NC; nephews, Willie Hopskins of Myrtle Beach, SC, Steve Hopskins of Las Vegas, James Hopkins of Thomasville, NC, Oris Hopskins of High Point, NC, Tony Harris of Durham, NC, Dwight Bostic of Charlotte, NC, Christopher Bostic of Durham, NC.; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
