Obituary for Lula Mae Bullock

Lula Mae Bullock was born on October 7, 1946 in Creedmoor, NC to the late Alvis and Lula Johnson Bullock. Lula Mae entered eternal rest, at home on December 9, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her brother Alvis Jr. Bullock and a sister Beatrice B. Jackson.

Lula Mae grew up in Northside, NC and attended G.C. Hawley High School. She furthered her education at Durham Technical Community College. She retired from Duke University in 2008 after 30 years of service.

She was very family oriented and took great enjoyment spending time with family. She had a smile that was contagious and she would always light up the room. She took delight in spoiling her nieces and nephews and was known for making the best banana pudding and sweet potato pies.

She leaves to cherish her memories of her: one son, Victor L. Bullock (Angela) of Burlington, NC; two grandsons; Brandon Bullock of Durham, NC and Terrell Walker of Alexandria, VA; two sisters Virginia Bullock of Durham, NC and Geraldine H. Taylor (William) of Wake Forest, NC; two brothers, James H. Bullock (Jackie) of Creedmoor, NC and Allen L. Bullock (Jessie) of Durham, NC; brother in law John Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
