Obituary for Mrs. Lorraine Bingham Finch
Lorraine Bingham Finch, the daughter of the late Fletcher and Evelyn Bingham was born January 14th 1942 in Norfolk, Virginia. She departed this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Duke University Hospice Center, Durham, NC.
Lorraine was educated in the New York City Public School System. She retired from Underwriters Laboratories in 2011 and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Lorraine cared for her husband Randolph until his passing in 2016 and was a dedicated feline mom to her cats, Sassy and Romeo. She enjoyed special times with family and friends and loved to binge watch movies.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; Fletcher and Evelyn Bingham; her husband, Randolph Finch; one sister, Rita Bingham Parker; two brothers, George Bingham and William Roosevelt Bingham; and a great-nephew, Hassan Bingham.
She is survived by her nieces; Joy Bingham of Durham, NC, Michelle Fernandez of Bronx, NY, Brenda Lee Overbey, Debra Overbey and Charlene Overbey of Baltimore, Maryland; two nephews, Albert Lamont Bingham (Deborah) and George D. Bingham of Durham, NC ; one great nephew, Tarik Ledbetter, Jr of Durham, NC; three sister in laws, Patricia Bingham and Joyce Bingham of Durham, NC, Mary Finch Fletcher of Baltimore, Maryland; one brother-in-law, James Larry Finch (Ruthie) of Durham, NC and a host of family and friends.
