Obituary for LaShonda Nicole Holman
On December 23, 1978 God gave me my angel to cherish and love for a beautifully lived life. On Friday May first at Duke Hospital she entered into eternal rest. Nicky was my angel and that is what I called her. The relationship that we had, spoke for itself.
From childhood on up Nicky was educated in Durham Public Schools. She was a 1998 graduate of Riverside High School, where she held several positions. She was employed at Duke University Hospital for nineteen years. Nicky was a staff assistant with Dr. Kursner at Duke Orthopedics, a position she held until her death.
She loved family gatherings, bingo, traveling, and shopping. She loved her two pet babies, Diamond and Patches; and her two birds. Her life was complete.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents, Vanessa Holman and Chancey Lee Walker Jr.; daughter, Tiffany Lashay Holman; grandparents Joanne Clements, Chancey Lee Walker, Annette Walker; and host of relatives and friends.
The life she lived made her the angel she was. Our lives have an empty void. Our hearts hold a token of love. LaShonda will be missed by her family and friends.
