Laquita Renee Royster was born in Durham, North Carolina to Annie Reams and Anthony Royster on January 16, 1985. Surrounded by family and friends Laquita transitioned from labor to reward on January 28, 2020 at Hock Family Pavilion.
She attended Durham Public Schools where she made friends and cultivated life relationships because of the joy and warmth she brought to the lives of the people around her. Laquita enjoyed cooking and listening to music; her favorite artist was DMX. She loved children, lived simply, and brought happiness whenever she could.
She is survived by son Tormez Royster, brother Stoney E. Reams, sister Delores Abdullah (Wali), grandfather Clam Royster, best friend LaQualla Worthy; and a host of nieces and nephews.
