Obituary for Jose Antonio Delgado, Sr.
Jose Antonio Delgado Sr. was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on July 25, 1955 to the late Lorenzo Delgado and Geralda Claudio and raised in love by the late Jacinto Delgado and Aurelia Cortes.
Jose accepted Jesus Christ as his lord & savoir and on January 20, 2019 at 3:29pm he went to be with the Lord surrounded by love.
Jose affectionally known as Tony or Cheo, served in the United States Army for 11 years and retired from Harley Davidson in 2010. Jose loved the water. He loved to fish and watching his garden blossom.
Jose loved his siblings deeply and is preceded in death by Lorenzo Delgado, Roberto Delgado and Laura Delgado.
Memorial services for Jose A. Delgado Sr. will be held on February 2, 2019 at noon at the VFW Post 2514 located at 3850 Butler Road, New Bern, NC 28560.
Jose is survived by his loving wife; Maria Delgado and his children; Vivian Delgado, Jose A. Delgado Jr. (Shawnta Delgado) and Suzanna Pauley (James Pauley). Jose was also gifted in marriage with children; Rose Ceballos, Raymond Ceballos (Ivette Ceballos), Lissette Colon, and Ronald Ceballos (Celia Ceballos). He was the proud grandfather to Jose A. Delgado III, Briona Simmons, Antonio Key, Quintia Jenkins, Christian Johnson, Jalen Jenkins, John A. Delgado, Gabrielle Johnson, Journey Pauley, and Patience Pauley. Jose was blessed with seven great grandchildren, Aubrey Jones, Destiny Delgado, Ryan Jenkins, Christian Jones, Jayden Key, Jaylen Key and Jayce Jenkins; sibling, Pablo Hernandez, Milagros Isaac, Evelyn Isaac, Maria Luisa Gonzalez, Edwin Delgado, Lynette Delgado, Maria Delgado,
Last but not least, Jose is survived by his two partners in crime, his pets Tiny and Scooby.
