Obituary for John Edward Allen Sr.
John Edward Allen, Sr. was born to the late Leila and Willie Allen on April 9, 1931 in Granville County. He departed this life on January 15, 2021. John was the third child of six children.
At an early age, John married Annie Laura Hester and relocated to East Orange New Jersey.
He was proceeded in death by 4 of his siblings Joe Lee, Rudolph, Wilbert, and Catherine. As well as he was proceed by his son, John Jr.
John was a construction worker by trade. However, the best memories of him were of him being a man of honor with a gentle heart. He always had a smile and joke to offer.
In 2018, John relocated back to North Carolina to be with family until his health began to decline.
He leaves his family to mourn his loss and cherish his memories. He leaves; his wife, Annie Laura Allen of East Orange, NJ. His sister, Rosa Tanner of Butner, NC. And his Nephew, Joseph T. Allen (Priscilla).
