Obituary for Joann Clements (Holman)
JoAnn Holman Clements entered into this world on January 5, 1937 to Mayola Dean and Johnie C. Holman in Durham, North Carolina. She was educated in the Durham County School System, and graduated from Merrick Moore High School.
JoAnn was joined in holy matrimony to the late Lawrence Harper.
She later went on to meet and marry Ira C. Clements on December 25,1965. To this union one child was born, Michael Wayne Clements. They then decided to relocate to Washington D.C. where they lived for forty years.Soon after the passing of her husband, JoAnn relocated back to Durham, North Carolina.
JoAnn worked many years at the Arlington Virginia Hospital as a childcare provider.
JoAnn was preceded in death by one son, Anthony "Pug" Holman; one brother, Clarence Shelton Holman; and one granddaughter, LaShonda Nicole Holman.
JoAnn leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Vanessa Holman of Durham, NC; one son, Michael W. Clements of Baltimore, MD; one brother, James Harrison Holman of Durham, NC; one sister-in-law Mercedes Clements; ten grandchildren; ten great-grand children; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
