Obituary for James Edward "Bro" Spearman
Mr. James Edward Spearman, was the son of the late Jack and Mary Cannady. He was born September 13, 1934 in Warsaw, N.C. He went into eternal rest on Monday December 24, 2018 at Concordia Transitional Care and Rehabilitation formally Rose Manor.
Mr. James received his education at Durham Public School. He worked at Washington Duke Hotel after graduation. He later Joined the United States Army in 1957. Just before being discharged from the of military he married the late Lurlie Jordan Spearman until her death on December 24, 2975 to this union they have 3 children. He later married Bobby Ann Spearman and to this union they have 2 children. He was a member First Baptist Church in Severn, NC until he moved back to Durham, NC and later joined Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Bobby Ann Spearman, his children; Sharon Annette Spearman, Larry Barnett Spearman, Derick Edward Spearman-Moore, Hattie Jordan and Tracie Powell. Grandcildren; Shaun, Rakeem, Lynette, Ronnie Jr. Autumn, Britnee, Sikiria, Omontay, A'den, Taniyah and Sammy, and five other grandchildren. Six great-grandchildren; Londyn, James, Malekei, Ethan, Elijah and Eaiden. One brother Rev. Dr. William Douglas Spearlan Sr. (Lois), one sister Cynthia Spearman Hannah (Morris). One Aunt Catherine Ferrell. And a host of other loving relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Jack Cannady and his son Ronnie Carnell Spearman Sr.
