Obituary for Mrs. Jacqueline Elaine Williams

A Time to Be Born
Mrs. Jacqueline Elaine Williams was born September 21, 1952, to the late Benjamin Stephenson and Josephine Turner and also raised by Arthur Lamott. She was preceded in death by her brother Lawrence Turner; Aunt Thelma Roberts; Great Grandson Christian Channer.

A Time to Love
On June 23, 1990, Jackie was united in holy matrimony to the late Ronald “DC” Williams, the love of her life for 14 years, but 20 years together. She loved her family, enjoyed cooking and caring for others.

A Time to Love God
At an early age Jackie accepted Christ as a young adult at Union Baptist Church in Durham NC. She was a faithful member and served as an usher. She attended church services every Sunday until her health declined.

A Time for Purpose Under Heaven
Jackie attended Durham Public Schools. She was employed at Croasdaile Village Retirement Community for 30 years. She later retired in March 2015.

A Time to Transition
Jackie quietly slipped away from our presence on August 30, 2021, at Duke Medicine Pavilion surrounded by all her children.

She leaves behind to celebrate her life and legacy, Daughters Sandra (Tuypeakus) McKay, Betsy Turner, of Durham NC, Calissa Burch and Kendra(Maurice) Channer, of Mebane NC, Son Ronald Williams of Durham NC. Nineteen grandchildren, Sixteen great-grandchildren, Sister Alana (Corey) Mims of Mebane NC; Two brothers, Thomas Turner of St. Petersburg FL, William (Carolyn) Little of High Point, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends of the family.
