Obituary for Henrietta Knux Thomas (Thomas)

HENRIETTA KNUX THOMAS was born in Montserrado County, Monrovia, Liberia on
Saturday,June16, 1962 unto the union of Robert Thomas and Gladys Frances Smith; both of
whom predeceased her.
Knux, as she was widely known, started her early childhood education, and eventually
graduated from the B W Harris Episcopal High School in Monrovia, after a temporary stay in
Harper, Maryland County, Liberia. In her pursuit of a higher education, Knux enrolled in, and
attended the Cuttington University in Bong County, Liberia.
Knux departed her beloved "Mama Liberia" for the United States with the singular intent to
vacation in the US and return home, but alas, life threw her a curve ball (one of many) and she
remained in the US, making a home and a life for herself.
In her early life, Knux was confirmed at the Trinity Cathedral Episcopal Church in Monrovia,
Liberia. In her quest to continue in the path she was raised, Knux became a member of the St.
Titus Episcopal Church here in Durham. After much prayers and seeking God's guidance and
direction, Knux later changed denominations and became a member of the Abundant Life
Christian Church pastored by Rev. Mark-Anthony Middleton, where she remained until her
homegoing.
HENRIETTA KNUX THOMAS was predeceased by her beloved brother, Charles Lahai
Rennie Cooper. Knux is survived by her daughter, Tiara Little Brown (Nicholas Brown); her
