Obituary for Harvey Lee Justice
Harvey Lee Justice Sr. was born to the late Orange Rufus and Maggie Lee Peaks on April 16, 1948. He was called to his heavenly home on January 31, 2020.
He attended Durham Public Schools attending Lion Park School. He loved the Lord with all his heart and had a caring heart for others.
To know Harvey Lee was to love Harvey Lee. He had a love and admiration for hot rod racing cars. He enjoyed working on cars in general and he was the go-to mechanic to many friends and relatives.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Harvey Justice Jr. and Barry Mack, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orange Rufus Peaks, one sister, Kathleen Bailey, and two brothers, Rufus Leon Peaks and Meredith Martin Peaks.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Nicole Mason Poole of Henderson, NC. Five grandchildren, Harvey Justice III, Cedric McMannus, Christopher Mason, Dezerah Mason and Jocelyn Mack. Two great grandchildren, Zamara McMannus and Acacia McMannus. Two brothers, Bobby Peaks and Thomas Thompson (Waverlene) of Durham, NC. Six sisters, Ella P. Goodman, Linda P. Malone (Dennis), Delores Peaks, all of Durham, NC, Christine P. Davis (Richard) of Raleigh, NC, Josephine P. Latta and Tammy Peaks both of Durham, NC. A special godson, Antuan Toomer. Two aunts, Martha J. Vanhook and Mable P. Dixon, one uncle, Gilbert Justice and one great aunt, Vergie S. Mangum all of Durham, NC. 29 nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
