Obituary for Felicia Ann McLaurin
Felicia Ann McLaurin,62 of Durham North Carolina, departed this life on June 15, 2019
peacefully at her home. Felicia was born at Lincoln Hospital to Charles and Patricia McLaurin on
December 27,1956. She attended Durham City Schools and graduated from Durham High
School in 1975. She furthered her education at Durham Technical Community College where
she was credentialed in Early Childhood and Development. Felicia was the proud owner of her
own business called Bright and Early Daycare Home.
Felicia was known for her witty and wise personality, known to make you feel either at home or
in your place. She was known to cook a meal for anyone and enjoyed listening to music in her
free time. She was also an avid reader. There is nothing more fulfilling than spending time with
close family and friends.
Felicia attended Ebenezer Baptist Church and later committed to Union Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Patricia McLaurin; brother Tyrone
McLaurin; sister Stephanie Denise McLaurin; and granddaughter Aniyiah Unique Johnson.
Felicia was survived by her long time companion Robert Nolen; son, Marcel McLaurin; daughter,
Theresa McLaurin; sisters: Carla Gibson and Karen McLaurin; brothers: Charles McLaurin Jr.
and Kenneth Fowler; Grandchildren: QuaDasha Cradle, Jazmerie Cradle, JaDezric Cradle,
Chynasti Cradle, Jaishaun McLaurin, Antonio Johnson and Justus Johnson and 4 Great
grandchildren.
