Obituary for Ethel Parkman (Jones)

Mother Ethel Parkman was born on January 13, 1930 in Newark, NJ, to the late John William Jones and Ella Murray. She transitioned from labor to reward on February 2, 2022.

Mother Parkman was joined in holy matrimony to Walter Parkman on March 4, 1950. To this union three children were born.

Mother Parkman was employed with Western Electric and University Hospital. She was also an avid baker and seamstress.

Mother Parkman accepted Christ at a young age and went on to be an active member of Citadel Hope Mission and Jimmy Swagart Ministries; even holding street meetings and ministering to those need who could not get to the church.

Mother Parkman was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, William Jones, Donald Jones, Linwood Jones and Elzie Jones; six sisters, Lovey Taylor, Eva Ashley, Olivia Jones, Odessa Smart, Esther McCrae and Ernestine Himphill.

Morther Parkman leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Debra (Saul) Fabien; two sons, Phillip (Susan) Parkman, Calvin (Bertha) Parkman; one brother, John Westly (Shirley) Jones; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grand children; two great great-grandchildren; one godson; and a host of other family and freinds .
