There's an old saying: A child is a reflection of the parent. I didn't know Ed, but I know his son, Aaron, a thoughtful, warm, funny, caring and generous person who is eager to encourage friends and quick to comfort them in times of sadness. Considering all of Aaron's amazing qualities, I can only imagine what a blessing Ed must have been to his friends, family and community. I lost my father on Jan. 26 and know what a blow that was -- and still is -- for our family. As you endure your own heartache and grief, and days when it takes everything you have to get out of bed and meet the day, just know that you have lots of friends who care for you and need you. We don't ever get over the loss of our parents, but we do learn to live with it by putting one foot in front of the other. God bless your family. May He hold your hand as you walk through these difficult days. Hugs to you all. Liesl O'Dell, Gainesville FL
