Obituary for Edmond Dwayne Eaddy Sr.

Edmond Dwayne Eaddy, Sr. was born on April 23, 1979, in Florence, South Carolina. He was the son of Edward N. Cain and Cathy Eaddy. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, June 5, 2022. He received his high school diploma in 1997 from J.F. Webb High School in Oxford, NC. He completed his education at Winston Salem State University, where he met the love of his life, Dena Coston. He lived in Wake Forest, NC with his wife and children, and they worshiped together at World Overcomers Christian Church in Durham, NC.

Without a doubt, Edmond was fiercely devoted to his family and friends. Pursuing a lifelong passion, he committed himself to being a dedicated coach and mentor to the youth in his community. He inspired his football teams to become amazing people and students, as well as talented athletes. During his 23 years at Best Buy, both as an employee and General Manager, he received many accolades and cultivated a positive work family that was clearly evident. As a dedicated employee and leader at CarMax, Edmond positively inspired his teammates daily and fostered a strong work community. Also, he was an avid fan of the UNC Tarheels, Miami Dolphins, and the Miami Hurricanes!

He truly had a heart of gold! His heart was always open to anyone who asked for help, he was always available to lend an ear to anyone when needed, and he was always willing to lend support and encouragement to his family, friends, and community. The life that he led was a testament to what he wanted to see in the world, a life of optimism, hope, joy, and love.

Though his time here on Earth has ended, his light will forever shine and his legacy lives on in his loving family, friends, mentees, coworkers, and even in strangers that were touched by the brilliance of all that was him.

Edmond’s memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife, Dena and their amazing children Nyla Denae and Edmond, Jr; his mother, Cathy Eaddy of South Carolina; his father and stepmother, Edward and Ana Cain of South Carolina;. his brother, Michael Eaddy and his children Dakota McNeil and Isaiah Eaddy of Virginia; his brother, Jason Cain and his children: Justyn, Breanna, and Caleb of South Carolina; Sister Marina Cain and Artemis of South Carolina; his grandmother, Catherine Bass-Eaddy of North Carolina; his mother-in-love, Mary Coston of New York; his brother-in-love, Reginald Coston of New York and his daughter, Cheyenne Coston of North Carolina; in addition to a caring host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, RAMily, coworkers, and his sports family.
