Obituary for Charles Edward Ingram

On December 28, 1945 Charles Edward Ingram was born to Richard Ingram, Sr. and Isabell Robinson Ingram in High Point, North Carolina. On Friday December 2, 2022, he transitioned to a life of eternal peace and rest. We shall miss him, for we loved him dearly. May God grant us grace, strength and comfort during our time of sorrow.

Charles retired following many years of labor managing a commercial janitorial company in High Point and working as a cutter in the upholstery fabrication industry. Charles relocated throughout NC, taking on the caregiver role for various siblings and loved ones as he was known for putting everyone else’s needs before his own. The true and full measure of a man is found in the God he worships, the lives he touches, and the memories he leaves. When Charles’s caregiver roles were complete, you could find him enjoying his favorite pastimes; reading his Bible, watching Westerns, sitting on his porch and enjoying a bowl of ice cream.

Charles was proceeded in death by his father, Richard “Buck” Ingram, Sr.; mother, Isabell Robinson Ingram; sister, Delois “Debe” Ingram; brothers, Linwood Ingram, Richard Lee Ingram, Purcell Ingram and Manzell Ingram.

Family remaining to cherish the memory of his life and love are his daughter, Tunita Coleman; sons, Sylvester Smith, Maurice Stanley, Aundra Stanley; brothers, Kenneth (Paulette) Ingram and Terence (Beverly) Ingram Sr.; sister, Pamela (Winford) Barr along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchilden; nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.
