Chad Orlando McNeill was born on September 8th, 1974, to Carl and Beulah McNeill. He departed this life on November 28th, 2021. Chad was born and raised in Durham, NC. He attended Southern Durham High School where he was a star athlete on the Men’s Varsity Basketball team. It was his love for basketball that inspired him to name his son, Jordan, after the famous Michael Jordan.
Chad was an avid fan of the Duke Men’s Basketball team, but it became bittersweet when his daughter, Queen, announced she would be attending college at UNC-Chapel Hill. He was a proud grandfather of three, one of which was just born one month ago who he was unfortunate to meet before his passing.
Chad had a passion for bricklaying and landscaping and was currently a Maintenance Technician for Emcor Group.
Chad was preceded in death by both of his grandmothers, Martha Ann Grady and Annie Lee Monk and his maternal grandfather, Willie Monk.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents Carl and Beulah McNeill of Fayetteville, NC; one son son Jordan Orlando McNeill of Fayetteville, NC; one daughter Queen Iyanna McNeill of Durham, NC; two brothers Carl Lynn McNeill (Tonya) of Durham, NC and Carlester McNeill of Charlotte, NC; one sister Calandra McNeill of Fayetteville, NC; three nephews Marquis McNeill of Durham, NC,Carl Lynn McNeill Jr. of Raleigh, NC, and Chase McNeill of Fayetteville, NC; one niece Quanisha Satterwhite of Morrisville, NC; three grandchildren Landon Spivery of Roxboro, NC, Serenity Nance, and Symone Nance of Durham, NC; two great-nieces; one special friend Santhedea Johnson of Raleigh, NC; five aunts; one uncle; and a host of cousins, friends and loved ones.
