Was a native of Hillsborough County, daughter of Mr. Raymond and Julia Greene. She was the first of five siblings. She attended the schools of Hillsborough County and a resident of Tampa Florida. She worked in various jobs but, retired as a Head start teacher after a tenure of 18 years. Ms. Greene enjoyed working with preschool children and getting them off to a great start in life.
