Obituary for Annie Catherine Taylor (Russell)
Annie Catherine Taylor was born in Durham, NC on February 20, 1935 to the late James and Ethel Russell. She departed this life on May 8, 2020 in Durham, NC.
Annie graduated from Hillside High School and went on to get her LPN License from Durham Technical College. At a young age, she was baptized and became a member of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Butner, NC then later joined Faith Temple Deliverance Church in Oxford, NC.
On February, 21 1951 she was united in marriage to Reverend Walter S. Taylor and to this union 10 children were born.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memory her sons and daughters; Mrs. Brenda Upchurch (Michael) of Garner, NC, Ms. Sandra Coleman of Durham, NC, Mrs. Phyllis Parker (Allen) of Durham, NC, Mr. Willie Taylor (Bessie) of Durham, NC, Mr. Barry Taylor (Facquline) of Tallahassee, FL, Ms. Shelia Taylor of Durham, NC, Mr. Timothy Talyor (Yvonne) of Durham, NC, Reverend Terry L. Taylor (Gloria) of Rougemont, NC, Mr. Oscar Taylor of Durham, NC and Mr. Rodney Taylor of Durham, NC; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; sister, Barbra Lipscomb of Durham, NC; brother, Marvin Russell of Maryland and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
