Alvin F. Herbert was born on February 17, 1956 and departed this life after a long illness on June 14, 2019. Alvin is survived by one son, Jeremy Amey-Herbert, his former wife Cathy Amey-Herbert, her daughter, Jocelyn Amey, his mother, Mrs. Bessie Patterson, one brother, Riki Herbert, and four sisters, Rowena Brown, Tonya Lynn, Darlene Locklear (Donnie), Bridget Patterson, and a host of nephews and nieces. The memorial service will be held at Ellis D. Jones, at 419 Dowd St. Durham, NC 27707, Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm
